Feeding & Swallowing Therapy.
Feeding problems often arise when there are difficulties with sucking from breast or bottle, eating from a spoon, chewing, or drinking from a cup.
Swallowing difficulties (dysphagia) often refers to problems with moving food from the mouth to the stomach. This can occur with certain foods, liquids or saliva. At Reflection Health, we support children and their families with:
Transitioning to solids
Mealtime challenges (e.g. picky eating, gagging, vomiting)
Chewing and swallowing difficulties
Saliva management or excessive drooling
Reflux
We collaborate with other healthcare professionals (physician, dentist, registered dietitian, lactation consultant, occupational therapy etc). when required to ensure that eating, drinking and mealtimes remain fun and enjoyable for the whole family.
